Overview
Sporocarps stalked, scattered to gregarious, 1.5-3 mm total height. Sporothecae ovate to cylindrical, 0.4-0.8 mm diam., dark lilac-brown. Hypothallus thin, silvery. Stalk black, shining, <50% of the total height. Columella reaching 75% of the sporotheca. Capillitium dense, anastomosing, the surface net largely absent, with numerous free ends. Spore-mass dark brown. Spores faintly banded-reticulate, 7-9 µm (not 5-7 µm as per M+A p.228, acc. M.L. Farr 1988 'Notes on Mycetozoa' V., Int. J. Myc. Lich. 3(1/2):199-213).
